"We were referred to Evan by a friend who is an interior designer to help undertake extensive renovations of our home. Evan had a look at the initial architectural plans and as things went along, he improved on the architect’s plans by putting his own input on top, expanding on and improving the concept we had. 

Evan went into such detail on his quote, taking everything into account and we were very pleased to have him on board, as we could tell he was honest, trustworthy and very communicative, explaining everything to us as we went. 

He was able to come up with solutions by being there and the spot and working it out. He indicated when payments would be due and stuck with that, and let us know about some unexpected engineering costs as soon as he became aware of them. He was very good at managing the whole thing and we could ring him at the drop of the hat if we needed anything. 

We had very little trouble, really. We were overwhelmed by the amount of detail Evan went into and his anticipation of his own time scales. We felt very well looked after and it was an unstressful experience. In my opinion, he should be on the Builder of the Year list–I can’t think of a single thing we’re disappointed about."

"We were recommended Evan by our interior draftsman, Bruce Goode, to whom we were recommended by my sister's in-laws who engaged Bruce for a project of their own some 12 years prior. Evan and Bruce are a great working team, above all they are both good humans who take great pride in their work and in achieving positive, high-quality outcomes for their clients.

We had our own timeline constraints and Bruce and Evan managed to work within them. The budget was higher than we had anticipated, however, we were also conscious that post-COVID costs had risen. There were a few unexpected challenges but they were all presented to us in a timely manner and with solution options. Evan and his team are very solution-oriented and pragmatic–taking into consideration the impact on design, cost, quality and time in all challenges we encountered. Their communication in this regard was exceptional and at all times it felt like we remained in control and were in very safe hands in achieving our desired result.

We were presented with a Gantt chart and critical path upfront and Evan assigned a project manager, Matt, who we worked closely with from the planning phase to completion, while Evan was also involved when needed (and always available to call on). Evan and Matt (& Bruce) took the time to listen to our needs and feedback across the project as well as provide explanations of various aspects of the project when queried, all in a calm and patient manner."
